Zussa - Hats & Accessories

Up-to-date headgear, sensual, precious, wearable. Extravagant creations, dramatic headdress for the glamourous entrance at night. Fur, silk, feathers, flowers, exotic summer weaves. From tender pastels to loud candy colors.

Each of Zussa's hats is a valuable, hand-made, unique piece. Yet all of them have one thing in common: Zussa's hats have speed. Classic, slender shapes, lightning-fast lines and a bold verve mark her style.

"Hats are like scupltures," says Zussa. They are created during the conversation with the material. On searching for the perfect shape, Zussa finds inspiration in traditional headdress and brightens and develops classic shapes from the history of costumes. Here, she stops at nothing: caps meet veils and feminine hatshapes of the 40's are combined with elements of the 80's.

In 1998, Zussa opened her studio and store in Berlin at No. 206 Friedrichstraße. Many have since found their way there. Among them prominent figures such as Yoko Ono, Gianna Nannini, Sir Peter Ustinov, Jürgen Vogel, Iris Berben, Barbara Weiß, Cornelia Schleime, Mathieu Carriere and Bruno Ganz. Zussa work is genre-crossing. She designs hats for stage and film, most recently for the cinema productions "Gebrüder Sass" (Brothers Sass) and "Martin Luther".
